Our Green Policy
As part of our commitment to provide high quality accommodation in the most environmentally sustainable manner we aim to ensure that we have good environmental practices in all aspects of our business, minimising the impact we make on the environment.
In order to do this, there are a number of measures we seek to undertake, including:
We value the opinion and suggestions of our guests in order to improve our approach to looking after the environment.
In order to do this, there are a number of measures we seek to undertake, including:
- Installation of solar panels which feed around 50% of the electricity we use on site back to the National Grid.
- The water supply to all cottages is natural spring water which has been filtered and cleaned using Ultra Violet light.
- We have a septic tank on site which uses natural biological processes to break down sewage and waste water, producing a safe and harmless discharge.
- We use environmentally friendly products in the cleaning of our cottages and encourage our guests to use the cleaning products provided.
- Where possible we purchase re-fillable products in order to reduce plastic waste (this includes washing up liquid, toilet cleaner, cleaning products, hand wash).
- We provide eco friendly (and septic tank friendly) washing up liquid and dish washer tablets.
- We provide recycling facilities for paper, plastic, tin, glass and food in all of our properties.
- On arrival, we provide guests with information on what they can do to help.
